Cancellation policy

Cancellations and Changes: We understand that travel plans can change. To support our guests, we offer flexible date changes and a clear refund structure. Please note that this policy applies consistently in all circumstances, including force majeure events beyond our control.

  • Date Changes:
  • Individual bookings (1–2 tents): Date changes may be requested at least 10 days before arrival.
  • Group bookings (3+ tents): Date changes may be requested at least 21 days before arrival.

New dates are subject to availability and the rates applicable to the new travel period. We will honour the original quoted rate for any postponement rebooked within 6 months, subject to availability and excluding peak periods. Only one date change is permitted.

  • Cancellations:
  • More than 30 days before arrival: A full refund will be issued.
  • 7 to 30 days before arrival: A 50% refund of the full booking value will be issued.
  • Less than 7 days before arrival: This period is fully nonrefundable, and the full booking value will be retained.

Refunds are issued less any credit card processing fees, and the final refund amount may vary slightly due to currency exchange rate fluctuations.

  • Additional Notes:
  • Certain conservation or adventure activities may occasionally be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather.
  • For peace of mind, we recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unexpected disruptions. Please be aware that certain extraordinary events may not be covered by some travel insurance providers.

Return Guest: This exclusive special is only available through Mavela directly. Tap "Get the Special" and we'll sort everything out. As a special thank you to our returning guests, we will offer a 20% discount for your next booking. Inclusions:
